PHP ActiveRecord - AR and Joomla 1.5 - An easy to use ORM for PHP

Subject: AR and Joomla 1.5

I'm currently working on a Joomla component for which I would like to use AR, but so far no luck.

Has anybody succeeded in integrating php.activerecord with Joomla? Any tips on where to start to get things rolling?
